Assignment/Activities Today – Minimum Day
- Unit 1 – Introduction to Physical Science
- Section 2 – Scientific Methods
- Key Concept Scientists use scientific methods to answer questions and to solve problems
- Scientific methods are based on six steps, which may be followed in different ways based on the kind of question being asked
- Scientific investigations begin with a question and proceed by forming a hypothesis and then testing it
- Scientists use a variety of methods to analyze and report their data
- Continue with Brainpop Virtual Lab – Disposable Lab Equipment
- Testing Milk Samples for Bacteria
- Visit a Dairy Processing Plant to Check for Bacterial Contamination
- Begin the Interactive Lab with a Partner
- Take Cornell Notes for collection and in order to be prepared for the game quiz afterwards
- Upon Completion Take the Game Quiz
- Email Mr. Hodder the results of the quiz (phodder@romoland.net
- If Incomplete then finish work on the NASA Consensus Exercise
- Begin Assignment as Individuals and Work into Teams Exercise
- Compare Individual Results with NASA
- Compare Group Results with NASA
- Calculate the Difference
- Come up With and Discuss Rationale for Choices
